Your resume: that illusive, mysterious document that is so critical to the growth of your career. Within a short one to two pages, you need to convey your relevant experience, education, and talents while highlighting achievements that resonate with the hiring manager. Not only that, you also need to capture the right key words to get through the HR screening process. It’s no wonder that most resumes fall short – up to 75% of resumes fail to impress the key decision makers.
Fortunately, our team of experienced writers and career coaches know what it takes to succeed in the modern job market.

Key Word Research to Get Past the ATS
In the modern job search, using the right key words is essential to surviving the screening process and being found by recruiters. Human Resources uses Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to manage their flood of candidates, and those systems rely heavily on the key words within the job description. Part of our process is to identify the critical key words for your specific industry and target job.
How It Works
Unlike an anonymous online resume service, we take the time to get to know you. We start with a questionnaire, then we conduct a personal interview for 30 to 45 minutes to fully understand your work history and career goals. Using our systematic approach, we research the relevant key words for your particular target job. After receiving your draft documents, we do up to two rounds of editing to make sure your resume is perfect.

Your competitive advantage in a tight job market
If you are lucky, you may only have to do a rigorous job search four or five times in your life. Given that, how can you expect to master all the latest techniques and evolving trends that are crucial for a successful job search? If you have fallen into the trap of just wildly applying online and hoping for the best, then you need a better job searching strategy. This is where a career coach can make all the difference and shave months off your job search.
What is a Career Coach?
A career coach is an expert in navigating the hiring maze. From understanding the employment market to leveraging different types of networking, a career coach stays on top of the latest trends and tools available to make a difference in landing a job you really love.
We can coach anywhere, anytime…
We are available on evening and weekend hours to accommodate your demanding schedule, in addition to regular business hours. Our office is located in Westminster, Colorado. We can meet at our office, on the phone, or online.
Not located in the Denver area? No worries – coaching can also be done via online meeting through GoToMeeting.com. You will actually see everything we are doing, in real time. No special software is needed – just a high-speed internet connection.
What Makes Our Career Coaches Unique?
Unlike many career coaches, our founder and Master Coach Donna Shannon worked as a recruiter for eight years, both as a corporate recruiter and as headhunter. She knows the hiring game from the inside out, and her two books – “How to Get a Job Without Going Crazy” and “Jump Start Your Sane Job Search” – teach job seekers how to get past the guard dogs like herself. Over the years, she has continued to evolve her programs to reflect the latest trends and market conditions.
All our coaches have been trained by Donna personally, and she continues to mentor them to keep them up-to-date on the employment landscape.
Our coaching programs include access to Donna’s online class, “Using LinkedIn to Find a Job Without Going Crazy.” Social media has become a crucial tool for anyone’s job search, with an estimated 90% of employers looking at LinkedIn profiles before calling the candidate for an interview. The class is essential in learning how to reach out to hiring managers directly and networking to gain an insider’s edge with any job posting.
